“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

Ruach Catholic Ministry

“The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.”
Matthew 9:37-38

Inspired by this profound call from the Word of God, Ruach Catholic Ministry was formed in March 2024. Based in Portlaoise, Ireland, our ministry was founded by the Sisters of the Ursulines of Mary Immaculate (UMI) with a dedicated group of Catholic lay faithful under the spiritual guidance of Fr. Prince Clarence SJ, united by a shared mission to bring the light of the Gospel to every corner of the world.

Our Journey

The seeds of this ministry were sown in 2023 during Fr. Prince SJ’s initial visit to Ireland. As he travelled the country conducting retreats, the call for a re-evangelisation of Ireland and Europe became vividly clear. Recognising this call, Fr. Prince SJ encouraged the local lay community with the UMI Sisters to take an active role in this mission of the church – giving birth to Ruach Catholic Ministry.

Since our founding, we have witnessed the Holy Spirit – the “Breath of God” – at work. Throughout the summers of 2024 and 2025, Fr. Prince SJ and the team have led numerous residential, day, and evening retreats across many Irish Dioceses. These gatherings have become a source of healing, deliverance, and spiritual renewal for individuals and families alike.

RUACH
(Pronounced: roo-akh)

This word is woven throughout the Bible, starting in Genesis 1:2, where Ruach Elohim (Spirit of God) hovers over the waters during creation. It is the same Ruach that breathes life into Adam (Genesis 2:7) and empowers God’s people, like the judges and the prophets of the Old Testament. In the New Testament, the Ruach is revealed as the Holy Spirit, who comforts, guides and fills believers with power, as promised by Jesus in John 14:26 and manifested in Acts 2:2.
